Occupations - The man who takes space
Gustavo Gomes’s latest work, Occupations – The Man Who Takes Space, explores masculinity, failure, and privilege. Through dance and spoken word, Gomes dissects male anxiety surrounding invisibility and the impulse to assert dominance through force. Using the imagery of a man sitting on a chair, anchored in archetypal notions of masculinity, the film navigates the protagonist’s shifting stages of dominance, grief, and acceptance.
