Performance for PiK Deutz gallery in Köln and IMPACTZONE by the Center for Contemporary Dance Cologne (Zentrum für Zeitgenössischen Tanz)
Premiered of the 4th of September 2021 at PiK Deutz Cologne
Based on a poem by Heinrich Heine, “Die Lorelei”, depicting a siren who sitting on top of a cliff above the Rhine while luring shipmen to their death. The performance uses the tale to create a discourse on femininity, the place of the body and the experience of being watched.
The performance is also part of the exposition of Lorelei by Gustavo Gomes commissioned by PiK Deutz and showed alongside 5 films directed and choreographed by Gomes
